Terms of Use

Terms of Use

Effective date: 29 September 2026   Version: 2026-09-29-v2

These Terms govern access to and use of Mek Mi Help.

1. Operator

Mek Mi Help is operated by Doxaergon Technologies Limited, a company incorporated in Jamaica. Mek Mi Help operates the marketplace. Independent providers perform the services listed by them.

2. Acceptance and incorporated policies

By creating an account or using Mek Mi Help, you agree to these Terms and must follow the applicable Community Guidelines, Cancellation Policy and, for providers, Provider Standards. You also acknowledge the Privacy Notice and Safety & Trust information.

3. Eligibility and account security

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering the relevant arrangement to create an account. Where a service is arranged for a minor, the account and booking must be handled by an appropriate responsible adult. You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and report suspected unauthorised account use.

4. Marketplace role

Mek Mi Help provides tools for discovering services, requesting bookings or quotations, communicating and retaining service records. It does not itself perform the listed provider services unless expressly stated.

5. Independent providers

Providers ordinarily operate independently and are not employees, agents or representatives of Mek Mi Help. Category approval permits eligible marketplace participation. It is not an unconditional certification or guarantee.

6. Customer-provider relationship

The customer and provider are responsible for agreeing the service scope, access, timing, price, materials and other job terms. Their service arrangement is directly between them, subject to applicable law and these Terms.

7. Provider representations and legal requirements

Providers must truthfully describe their identity, experience, references, capability, service area, availability and services. They are responsible for holding and maintaining licences, registrations, permits and other credentials required for the services they offer. Applications are reviewed by category and may be approved, rejected, suspended or reinstated. Review does not guarantee future conduct or service quality.

8. Customer responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate service and access information, communicate material risks, treat providers lawfully and respectfully, and meet agreed payment responsibilities.

9. Minors and vulnerable people

A responsible adult must manage any booking made for a minor and should remain appropriately involved. Users must take reasonable care where children or vulnerable people may be present. Provider approval does not imply universal background screening or suitability for unsupervised contact.

10. Home and premises access

Customers decide whether and how to admit a provider. Both parties must agree reasonable access arrangements and respect occupants, neighbours, boundaries, property rules and privacy.

11. Personal safety, misconduct and property

Threats, harassment, assault, theft, deception, property misuse and other unlawful conduct are prohibited. Platform review cannot guarantee personal safety or crime-free conduct. Contact appropriate authorities for immediate danger or suspected crime.

12. Workmanship, estimates and changes

Providers are responsible for working within their represented capability and for their advice, methods and materials. Estimates may change where scope or conditions change, but material changes to scope, timing or price should be communicated and agreed before the affected work proceeds.

13. Pricing and quotations

Listings may show fixed prices, ranges, starting prices, rates or that a quotation is required. Displayed information is not necessarily a final price where scope, inspection, materials or conditions may change it.

14. Cancellation, rescheduling and no-shows

Users must follow the Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Shows Policy, communicate changes promptly and use the applicable platform workflow where available. Repeated avoidable late cancellations or no-shows may result in marketplace review.

15. Payments

Mek Mi Help does not currently offer a live customer payment gateway. Customers and providers currently arrange payment using the available offline process, and authorised platform users may record payment information for operational history. No escrow, automated payout or refund guarantee is provided.

16. Marketplace integrity

Where a customer and provider are introduced through Mek Mi Help, users must not deliberately move the resulting job outside an applicable Mek Mi Help workflow solely to avoid an applicable marketplace fee or marketplace rule. This does not mean that every future relationship between the parties belongs to Mek Mi Help.

17. Reviews and user content

Reviews must reflect genuine completed-booking experience. Fake or manipulated reviews, review trading, coercion, retaliation, review-related threats and incentives conditional on a particular rating are prohibited. Users must have the right to provide photographs, messages and other content and must not submit unlawful, misleading, abusive or privacy-invasive material.

18. Complaints and investigations

Users should report concerns and cooperate with reasonable review. Mek Mi Help may consider platform records and request information but does not promise an emergency response, refund, compensation or particular finding.

19. Restriction, suspension and review

Mek Mi Help may warn, restrict discovery, suspend category eligibility, remove content or limit accounts where reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, legal, operational or policy reasons. A user may request an administrative review through available support channels. This does not promise a particular outcome.

20. Prohibited conduct

Users must not commit unlawful acts, threaten or harass others, misrepresent services, interfere with platform security, misuse personal information, manipulate reviews or use the platform to facilitate prohibited activity.

21. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Notice. Users must not collect, disclose or misuse another person's information without lawful authority.

22. Intellectual property and third-party services

Mek Mi Help names, branding, page design and platform materials are protected to the extent provided by law. Maps, communications infrastructure and other third-party services may have separate terms and availability.

23. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the platform is provided on an as-available basis. Mek Mi Help does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, provider honesty, personal safety, property security, workmanship or suitability for every need.

24. Liability and consumer rights

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mek Mi Help's liability is limited to losses that cannot reasonably be excluded under applicable law and that are directly attributable to its own legally actionable conduct. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable Jamaican law.

25. Narrow indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, a user is responsible for reasonable third-party claims and costs caused by that user's unlawful conduct, material breach of these Terms, or content supplied without the necessary rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Mek Mi Help's own conduct.

26. Ending use

You may stop using the platform. Mek Mi Help may suspend or terminate access consistently with these Terms, operational requirements and applicable law. Required booking, financial, safety, security and audit records may be retained lawfully after access ends.

27. Changes and electronic communications

These Terms may change as the service develops. A new version and effective date will be published, and renewed acceptance may be requested where appropriate. Notices and acceptance may be provided electronically, subject to applicable law.

28. Severability and no waiver

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right is not necessarily a waiver.

29. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Subject to applicable consumer rights and dispute processes, disputes are submitted to the competent courts of Jamaica.

30. Contact

Questions about these Terms or platform concerns may be raised through Report a Concern.
