Community Guidelines

Standards for customers and providers

Effective date: 29 September 2026   Version: 2026-09-29-v1

These Guidelines apply to customers, providers and other users of Mek Mi Help.

Respectful treatment

Do not harass, threaten, intimidate or abuse another person. Unlawful discrimination is prohibited.

Honest marketplace activity

Provide truthful account, identity, service, quotation and booking information. Impersonation, fraud, false credentials, deliberately deceptive pricing and misleading service claims are prohibited.

Lawful services

Do not request, advertise or perform unlawful services. Prohibited activity includes illegal drugs or weapons, fraudulent documentation, sexual services, hacking or unauthorised access, unlawful surveillance, and a service legally requiring a licence, registration or permit where the provider does not hold what is required.

People and property

Respect customers, providers, occupants, neighbours, children, vulnerable people and property. Providers must not bring an unauthorised worker or visitor where customer permission would reasonably be required.

Privacy

Do not collect, disclose or misuse another user's private information without a lawful and legitimate reason.

Marketplace communications

Keep important information about service scope, price, timing and booking arrangements on Mek Mi Help where practical.

Platform-originated transactions

Where a customer and provider are introduced through Mek Mi Help, users must not deliberately move the resulting job outside an applicable Mek Mi Help workflow solely to avoid an applicable marketplace fee or marketplace rule. This does not mean that every future relationship between the parties belongs to Mek Mi Help.

Reviews

Reviews must relate to genuine marketplace activity. Fake reviews, review trading, coercion, retaliation, threats linked to reviews and incentives conditional on a particular rating are prohibited.

Administrative action

Mek Mi Help may warn, restrict, suspend or remove marketplace or category access where reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, legal or policy reasons. A user may request an administrative review through the available support and reporting route.

Safeguarded tutoring

Guardian-managed minor tutoring keeps booking and persistent communication between the guardian and approved provider. The approved provider personally delivers the session. Providers must not require private child contact, transport the child, provide childcare or overnight care, use a substitute tutor, or record the session. A responsible adult remains on the premises for in-person tutoring.
